5 Confidence Building Activities

Learn about something you already love or enjoy

It is so empowering to educate yourself or build a skill of yours. There are multiple ways to go about this. Find a topic that you're already interested in or something you've been wanting to learn. Check local listings and take a class or seminar. Another tool is The University of Google or Youtube. If you love makeup or skincare, watch some videos or read about the newest trends, or even read blogs! Obtain all the knowledge and confidently share it with family and friends!

Create something from scratch

I don't know about y'all but when I make a meal from scratch or even a DIY home decor item, I feel GOOD! Research shows creating something from scratch enhances mental health by giving the feeling of happiness, satisfaction, and confidence!

Work out

Get moving, get some fresh air! Exercise releases endorphins which are the chemicals related to happiness. We all know when we lose a couple pounds or gain some muscle mass, it always boosts self-esteem, confidence, and wards off anxiety.

Take yourself on a date

Self-dates are a form of self-love and self-care. Alone time is vital for self-development. Take yourself to a coffee shop, or out to eat, or even a bookstore! Independence allows you to provide yourself with peace and happiness without dependence

Practice self care at home

Bring out those candles, body scrubs, bath salts, and wine! Soak in the tub and take the stress away. Do some yoga and meditation for clarity. Binge-watch your favorite show! Feel like a brand new person at the end of the day!
